Escapus

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of the Escapus mobile application (the “App”) and related services operated by Escapus (“we”, “our”, or “us”).
By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
1. Description of the Service
Escapus provides self-guided outdoor escape game experiences that allow users to explore real-world locations while solving puzzles and completing interactive challenges using a mobile device.
Gameplay takes place in public environments such as streets, parks, and city landmarks.
Users participate at their own discretion and responsibility.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the App.
Users under the age of 18 should participate under the supervision of a parent or guardian.
3. Safety and Personal Responsibility
Outdoor escape games require participants to move through real-world environments.
By using the App, you agree to:

remain aware of your surroundings at all times

follow local laws and safety regulations
-
avoid dangerous areas or restricted locations
-
respect public and private property
-
avoid interacting with traffic while looking at your phone
Escapus is not responsible for accidents, injuries, or damages that may occur during participation.
Players are responsible for making safe decisions while navigating the game.
4. Gameplay Rules
Players must follow the intended gameplay mechanics and instructions provided within the App.
Users may not:

exploit bugs or technical issues to bypass puzzles

attempt to manipulate the system to gain unfair advantage

interfere with the experience of other players
-
attempt to access restricted parts of the system
Escapus reserves the right to suspend or terminate access if misuse is detected.
5. Tickets and Access Codes
Access to certain missions may require a valid ticket or activation code.
Tickets may be purchased through authorized platforms or partners.
Each ticket or activation code:

may be limited to a specific mission

may be limited to a specific number of players or sessions

may have an expiration date
Tickets are generally non-transferable and non-refundable unless otherwise specified.
6. Technical Requirements
Use of the App requires:

a compatible smartphone device

sufficient battery power
-
internet connectivity during gameplay
Escapus is not responsible for interruptions caused by:

device malfunction
-
low battery
-
network connectivity issues
-
GPS inaccuracies
7. Third-Party Services
Certain features of the App may rely on external services and technologies.
These services may include cloud infrastructure, mapping tools, or secure web pages displayed inside the App.
Escapus is not responsible for service interruptions caused by third-party systems.
8. Intellectual Property
All content within the App, including but not limited to:

game designs
-
puzzles
-
missions
-
graphics
-
logos
-
software
- trademark
is the property of Escapus or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Users may not reproduce, distribute, or modify any part of the App without permission.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Escapus shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from:

use of the App
-
participation in outdoor missions
-
reliance on game information or navigation
-
technical failures or interruptions
Participation in the game is voluntary and at the user’s own risk.
10. Changes to the Service
Escapus may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the App or specific missions at any time without prior notice.
We may also update the App to improve features, security, or gameplay experience.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
Updated versions will be posted with a revised “Last updated” date.
Continued use of the App after changes indicates acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws applicable in the jurisdiction of the republic of Lebanon
